Inclusive Home

It is crucial for a designer to take into account who will use the area they are creating. This is particularly true when the end user has capabilities and demands that differ from those that are common in the built environment. Given that Mr. Jackson uses a wheelchair and Mrs. Jackson has Parkinson's disease, we have been challenged with designing an accessible home for the Jackson's. The couple has yet to locate a property that satisfies both of their requirements. They have planned to renovate the house in order to better meet their needs after purchasing a residence that they considered to be reasonably appropriate at a fairly decent cost (The IIE, 2022).
